Welcome to Kilbroney TimberFrame

In the developed world the majority of newly built homes are now built from natural, organic and non-toxic timber frame. Timber frame houses have been around in Ireland for a long time and have proved their durability, with the same expected life-span as a conventional type house, but with the added advantages of much faster construction and improved energy efficiency - up to 40% more efficient than traditional block-constructed houses.

At Kilbroney Timberframe we have built up more than 30 years experience in the construction industry in Ireland, and 15 years specifically in the timber frame manufacturing sector. Our team have been recognised by the major UK and Irish quality assurance bodies as consistent providers of high quality results, and our commitment to the environment means that we strive to lead by example in all aspects of our building processes.

Fast efficient timberframe construction

With traditional construction methods all stages of the build process are heavily dependent on each other, e.g. foundations need to be complete before interior walls can be started. With timberframe construction the house structure can be manufactured in parallel with the laying of the foundations and shipped to the site as soon as they are required, for rapid erection.

At Kilbroney Timberframe we offer complete build services, as well as foundation preparation to make the construction process more seamless for our clients.

With the government committed to making all new homes zero carbon from 2016, timber frame is increasingly becoming the building material of choice.

Timber is currently the most sustainable form of construction, as wood is effectively carbon neutral, with timber frame benefiting from the lowest embodied CO² of any building material.

Currently 85% of all Passive Houses are built in timber, and timber frame buildings were the first to reach the code for sustainable homes levels 5 and 6.

Off site prefabrication of panels also offers strict quality control, which results in fewer problems during the post erection.

Timber Frame guarantees a faster construction time, requiring around 20% fewer on-site labour days and a shorter construction period overall.

The cost efficiencies of timber frame continue through the life of the structure, delivering up to a 33% reduction in energy consumption.

Kilbroney Timberframe construction projects

At Kilbroney Timberframe we are constantly undertaking new and challenging timberframe construction projects - see a sample below or view all our timberframe homes throughout Ireland.
